Ellen Ospelt, RN, BS

Ellen C. Ospelt, RN, BS is the Outreach Coordinator of the Lipid Research Center at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, OH. Working with the care team, Ms. Ospelt takes care of adults with Type 2 diabetes, and coordinates research projects on diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. She also manages other programs that teach people in the community about health and health care. Prior to this position, Ms. Ospelt worked as an intensive care nurse, as a clinical research coordinator, and as manager of a wellness program that helped people learn how to take better care of themselves. She belongs to several professional organizations and sits on various committees, including the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland, the American Heart Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the Wellness Council of America. Ms. Ospelt received her Nursing Diploma from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, IA, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Iowa State University in Ames, IA.
