Lynne Wagoner, MD

Dr. Wagoner has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina School of Medicine. She did her residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Wagoner is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Cincinnati. In addition to this position, she is currently the Medical Director of the Section of Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation, Director of the Fellowship Training Program, Director of the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing and Rehabilitation and Director of Cardiac Services.

Dr. Wagoner is the author or co-author of over 40 articles as well as 61 publications overall and has lectured extensively throughout the nation. She is the Principal Investigator in twelve ongoing funded studies in heart failure. Prior awards include the Individual National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Health, the Central Society for Clinical Research – Inducted, Fellowship in the American College of Cardiology, P.D. Cain Award for outstanding Research grant for the American Heart Association – Beginning Grant-in-Aid Recipient, Cincinnati’s 40 Under 40 from the Cincinnati Business Courier, and Health Care Hero’s Award from the Cincinnati Business Courier.
