Ms. Amy Sturm sees clinical patients with genetic predispositions to all types of cardiovascular diseases, including heritable arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, aneurysms, and familial hypercholesterolemia. Her research interests include the use of novel genomic testing technologies to identify the underlying genetic etiology in undiagnosed diseases, the effect of genomic counseling in patients with common, chronic diseases, and the use of family history tools in disease risk assessment. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors Board of Directors.
