Jill RK Griffith BS, PharmD is a clinical pharmacist affiliated with the Central Ohio Poison Center at Children’s Hospital, 700 Children’s Drive, Columbus OH 43205. As a Certified Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI), Dr. Griffith recommends and monitors the treatment of poisoned patients daily. She consults with and advises emergency department physicians, nurses, medics and other health care providers as well as the general public on the management of poisoned patients. In the field of clinical toxicology, Dr. Griffith has contributed to research presented at the North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology and has been published in the peer reviewed medical literature. She is a full member of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology. |
Previously, she has experience in managed care, recommending drugs for formulary placement and managing Medicaid Preferred Drug Lists. Dr. Griffith has also worked as a drug information pharmacist for a medical communications company bringing new molecules to market. Dr. Griffith received her BS and PharmD from the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She completed her specialty practice residency in Drug and Poison Information at the Central Ohio Poison Center at Columbus Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Griffith also currently serves as the program director for Ohio’s Medicaid Drug Utilization Review (DUR) Program. This program works to safeguard the health of Medicaid patients by assessing the appropriateness of drug therapy and alerting physicians and pharmacists to inappropriate or medically unnecessary pharmacological care.
