Copper and manganese in vitamin supplemenrts11/08/1999 |
I`ve read that a study conducted by Henry Ford Hospital showed a relationship between occupational exposure to copper or manganese and PD. Would it be wise to avoid vitamin supplements that contain these elements?
The amount of exposure to heavy metals that can cause parkinsonism has not been clarified. It seems unlikely that the amounts of copper and manganese present in vitamin supplements can cause or exacerbate PD.
