Does parkinson`s affected by diet or exercise12/03/1999 |
Is Parkinson`s Disease in any effect caused by your exercise or how you eat.
Moderate exercise is a good way of helping to cope with the disease. Range-of-motion exercises are especially helpful. There is little concrete evidence to show that diet has an effect. Animal fat has a weak correlation with higher incidence of PD. Foods containing Vitamins C and E may help slow progression, but hard evidence is lacking. Protein can interfere with absorption of levodopa (Sinemet).
