Could a Prostate Biopsy Spread the Cancer?02/15/2000 |
Could performing a prostate biopsy possibly spread the cancer?
There is no evidence to indicate that a prostate biopsy is associated with spread of the cancer. The study is needed to establish the diagnosis. If cancer is detected, appropriate treatment can then be instituted.
