Smoking and Tobacco

Weight loss and smoking

How do I keep my weight stable after quitting smoking? I have been off smoking for 3 weeks. I have a severe back problem(old injury) because of which putting on any weight is a nono as it can cause complications!!!

Not everyone who quits smoking will gain weight, although most do. The average weight gain is about 10 pounds. There are effective ways of limiting weight gain when stopping smoking. Making sure that you have a well-balanced diet, with plenty of low-calorie snacks available, as well as drinking lots of water really helps. Also, increasing exercise, including aerobic and resistance (weights), helps limit weight gain and enhances physical and emotional well-being. Please visit the website listed here for more tips on avoiding weight gain. Good luck!
