FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ORTHODONTIC HELP09/27/2000 |
I AM ONLY 29 YEARS OLD AND NEED ORTHODONTIC WORK DONE, BUT CAN`T AFFORD IT. ARE THERE ANY FEDERAL GRANT PROGRAMS OR ASSISTANCE AGENCIES THAT CAN HELP ME?
The answer to this question I `m afraid is negative. The public assistance programs for orthodontics ( Medicaid ) stop the coverage at 18 years of age. At Ohio State we do treat adults and do have a payment plan which requires a credit check . Our fees , however, are about 30-40 % lower than the private practitioner.
