What should I take for allergies and colds? I am taking sinemet CR.
Most OTC cold medications have a potential to interact with Sinemet causing elevation of blood pressure. While uncommon, this can be dangerous. For my own patients I recommend nasal sprays rather than tablets. For the allergy itself, Benadryl alone or drugs like Claritin can be taken.
