Prostate Cancer

PSA Test Results Interpretation

02/04/2001

Question:

What is a good and bad reading on PSA tests. What does it mean if PSA reading has almost doubled in the last 6 months and is now at 4.2?

Answer:

It depends on your age and whether you have had any prostate infections or other problems with the prostate gland. I suggest you discuss these findings with your physician who should be able to assist you in the interpretation and the need for any further studies.
