Smoking and metals03/14/2001 |
what metals are acceptable to use for a pipe? (i am referring to a metal screen, or a metal bowl on the pipe, which would be exposed to flame and the smoking mixture). i heard that smoking out of certain metals may cause lockjaw-- is there any validity to this claim? i am already familiar with the dangers brought about by smoking itself, but how can various metal smoking implements confound this?
Pipes used in tobacco smoking are made of wood - such as briar and do not contain metals.
