Seizure Medication and ADD05/14/2001 |
I am concerned about my 6 year old nephew - I think he has ADD (my sister and brother-in-law refuse to believe their son has this). One of my concerns is that my sister had previously been diagnosed with epilepsy. She began to have seizures when she was approximately 7 years old, my concern is that she had to continue taking her medications while she was pregnant with my nephew. Could these medications cause him to have ADD or any other learning disabilities?
I know of no connection specifically between maternal seizure medications and ADD or learning disabilities.
