Osteoporosis

Aredia Infusions

06/03/2002

Question:

What can you tell me about Aredia infusions to reduce pain for someone without breast cancer or myeloma, only diagnosis treated with Aredia infusions presently. I have osteopenia and six spinal fusions. My pain problems have been treated by specialist at major university. I believe he`s on "cutting edge" of Aredia infusions for pain. Local Dr. does not understand. Your info for this new treatment would be very helpful.

Answer:

There are numerous reports in the medical literature about Aredia infusions being helpful for painful bone-related conditions. Try using a search engine online (Google.com or Yahoo) to find PubMed at the NIH. A search for`Aredia and pain` should bring up several articles that you could show to your local physician simply by printing out the abstract. An important issue is whether it is helping your particular pain situation.
