Withdrawal Symptoms of Albuterol Sulfate12/20/2002 |
what are the withdrawal symptoms if you are addicted to Albuterol Sulfate and when was the inhaler discovered?
I believe albuterol was approved by the FDA in 1982. It is one member of a group of drugs referred to as beta-agonists. Albuterol does not promote chemical dependence and is not addictive. Some studies have suggested that there may be a `rebound` worsening of symptoms in asthma patients that suddenly discontinue the drug after long-term chronic use, but such findings have been inconsistent. If you wish to stop a prescribed medication, I suggest that you speak with your physician before doing so.
