Tongue numbness04/23/2003 |
A year ago I had my four, impacted, wisdom teeth removed. After a year I`ve noticed that my tongue numbs in the mornings. Could this be to nerve damage from a year ago? I also wear braces and I`m not sure if this could be causing it too.
Proper diagnosis of this treatment will require x-rays (radiographs) of bone and clinical examination. Numbness in the tongue is due to nerve damage. If it happens, it will occur constantly and not only in the mornings. Therefore, my advice is to see your dentist for a complete diagnostic work-up.
