Coughing and Asthma07/07/2003 |
Hi, I have been coughing for the past two weeks. I fear that I might possibly have asthma, because my caughs are loud, dry, and sometimes painful. I have no other unhealthy symptoms. So do you think I should set an appointment with my doctor to check this out...or is it just a cough that will soon pass? Please write back.
Asthma is just one of many causes of cough, and it would be difficult to make an accurate diagnosis without more detailed information and a physical exam. Since the cough is still bothersome for you after 2 weeks, I would suggest that you be evaluated by your physician.
