Vitamin D Intake Limits07/09/2003 |
I have osteoporosis and recently read that, in order for calcium to be properly absorbed, Vitamin D must be present. I take a multi with 200 mg Vit D, and have currently switched to 500 mg calcium with 200 mg vitamin D in each tablet. Is this too much?
400-600 IU/day of vitamin D is okay for adults. For people over 70, 800 IU/day is recommended.
