Asthma and Pleurisy
Can chronic asthma attacks cause pleurisy?
Asthma results from inflammation of the airways, whereas pleurisy is due to inflammation of the membrane that that covers the outside of the lung and the inside of the chest wall. In general, asthma is not a cause of pleurisy.
