Throbbing

Over the past couple of months I have developed a throbbing in front of my left ear, I can physically feel it, & hear it at night when I go to bed. Can this be a partial blockage?

Answer:

It sounds like you`re asking for a specific diagnosis, which is more than I can provide online. Only a detailed history and physical exam by a healthcare professional can provide enough information to make a specific diagnosis. You are asking if the symptoms could represent a partial blockage (I presume you mean of a blood vessel). While this is possible, it is unlikely. Please discuss your concerns with your healthcare provider--I would recommend that you start with your primary care physician, but then you might be well served to see an Otolaryngologist (Ears, Nose, Throat specialist).
