Anesthetic during surgery01/26/2005 |
My partner is a 79 year old Parkinson`s patient who needs two teeth extracted. She is in the early stages of the disease and does not have head tremor or swallowing difficulties as yet but is on both Sinemet and Aricept. Is general anesthetic during dental surgery a safe option for her? What side effects, if it is, might I expect?
I do not recommend General Anaesthesia to extract two teeth. Local anaesthetic is a safe method to take teeth out.
