Testosterone Recovery After Lupron Depot Shots02/03/2005 |
How long after the last Lupron depot will it take for testosterone to reach a normal range? I had four injections, in Apr, May Jun, and JUl with 7/19 beiing my last. Then had 39 IMRT sessions. I lost torso hair, gained about 24 lbs and low libido; age 66. I would like to know about how long the after effects will last? Thanks.
This varies; however, testosterone usually begins to appear in the blood 3-6 months following the last injection and it can take up to one year to get a return to normal levels. As the level rises, the side effects (hot flashes, erectile dysfunction ) begin to disappear.
