Lost Implant in Greece

11/28/2005

Question:

My husband is on a plane to Greece doing work for the Government that involves security. He has lost an implant that was installed by his dentist. Can you recommend a Greek Teaching School, or an American Military base he could go to in order to unscrew an implant, remove the filling underneath, redo the filling and replace the implant?

Answer:

As a matter of fact, I know two excellent prosthodontists in Athens: Dr Efstratios Papazoglou and Dr. Panagiotis Psichogios, both former faculty at Ohio State College of Dentistry. There is also a dental school in Athens.
