Normal systolic pulmonary artery pressure
I am a 31 y/o female and have been having shourtness of breath. I had an echo done today at rest. My systolic pylmonary artery pressure came back at 35. The Doctor stated this was normal. The info I find states this is high.
Can you please clear this up for me. Thank You.
A finding of a systolic pressure of 35 on the echo with the rest of the heart chambers within normal range is usually not a cause of concern and additional testing. However, since you are having shortness of breath, and if there is no other reason for your symptoms, then a right heart catheterization would be the test to actually measure the pressures.
