Pain behind knees @ crawling around on floor

02/13/2006

Question:

My 6 year old son, when crawling around on the floor (with his baby brother), has pain behind his knees; the pain hurts him to the point where ~ when getting up, he can not walk. He walks with his knees bent and stiff, legs spread apart (like something big was between his legs) and also tippy toes to a chair to sit. The pain is behind the knees. Please reply.

Answer:

This most definitely should be discussed with your son's pediatrician.
