Severed Achilles tendon and horse riding02/27/2006 |
Can intentionally severing an Achilles tendon cause one to never be able to ride a horse again? I am researching for a novel and need this information to continue.
Torn Achille's tendons can be repaired through orthopaedic surgery. Athletes who have suffered this injury can sometimes return to a high level of competition provided they have a successful surgery and rehabilitation process. An orthopaedic surgeon would be a good resource for you to examine surgical techniques.
