Small hard lump on back of arm02/28/2006 |
I have noticed a small hard lump that is under the skin and is on the back of my arm about 2 inches above my elbow. It doesn`t move. It is only painful if I push on it. I noticed it about two months ago. Is this anything that I should be worried about? Do tumors usually form in such an obscure area?
I am quite concerned with your description of a hard lesion on your arm. While this may be something as benign as an epidermoid cyst, the hard texture might suggest other diagnoses. I would urge you to see your board certified dermatologist for biopsy and/or removal. You should do that rather quickly since this appears to be a rapidly expanding lesion. Good luck!
