Tatoos02/28/2006 |
does having a tatoo prohibit the use of an MRI or cat scan due to the dyes in the system?
While some of the tatoos contains metal salts, particularly the yellows, greens, and reds of your tatoo, they should not cause a significant problem with an MRI. I would, however, tell your radiologist, as some of these mega machines might cause edema in that area.
