Skin Care and Diseases
I have hyperpigmentation in my face and I want to use a hyperpigmentation cream I want to know if this cream will remove the pigmeantion and how long it will take. Otherwise, should I make a laser surgery to my face to remover such pigmentation?
First line of treatment for hyperpigmentation (dark spots or areas of the skin) would be creams that contain a certain percentage of hydroquinone or similar bleaching preparations. Duration and efficacy of treatment depends on many factors such as natural skin type (i.e. hyperpigmentation lingers more in darker skinned individuals), the duration of hyperpigmentation (i.e. the newer the onset, the faster it goes away), etc.
It is true that some lasers are used to target pigmented spots. One must go to a dermatologist for consultation regarding which laser treatments are appropriate.
