Is there a cure for Vitiligo? or it`s just a waste of money to buy products that dosen`t even work.
There is no cure for vitiligo.
Depending on what area is involved and the extent of involvement, there are some prescription therapies that may have effect (topical steroids, topical tacrolimus or pimecrolimus). These are usually helpful for limited involvement of the skin with vitiligo.
Ultraviolet light treatments can also help with some forms of vitiligo. Your board certified dermatologist can help guide you on therapy and when it may or may not be effective.
