Should I Be Retested For HIV05/23/2006 |
I am a male from Bangledesh. I had unprotected vaginal sex with a sex worker on May 15, 2005. About 20 days later, I had the flu, dry cough, breath different. Dry cough is running at 48 days from May 15, 2005.I had an antibody test by Abbott axsym system random access multibatch immunoassay analyzer, where my sample rate was 0.30 at 95 days, sam rate 0.35. I had an ELISA antibody at 119 days and at 192 days. All results are negative, but I'm worried. Am I a true negative or should I retest at up to 12 months? Is the diffrence of sample rate pointing to risk?
You have a low risk as antibody tests have been negative for up to 6 months.
