Lump in my tongue
Approximately 2 days ago, I woke up with my tongue feeling VERY sore. So looked in the mirror to see if I had an inflamed taste bud, but nothing was there, then I felt my tongue and noticed that on the tip there is a hard lump. It feels like it is the size of a corn kernal. It stopped hurting on the second day that I had it, but now it is beginning to hurt again. When I squeeze it, it becomes very painful.
I have done a little research, but they all say that a lump means cancer, but cancer of the tongue, they say is on the outside not inside. Is this possible, I am a 22 year old female???
It is possible for a growth to appear in that area. I urge you to see a dentist or oral surgeon for this area to be examined very soon. They will be able to look at it clinically and make a diagnosis.
