Should I start taking a drug like Fosomax08/08/2006 |
My recent bone density study showed I was -1.32 do you think I should be taking a drug like fosomax. I do not have a family history of osteoporosis. I am 60 years old white female 5`6`` 105 lbs.I am concerned about the side effects of the drugs
With the history you mention and a T-Score (NOT a Z-score) of -1.32, it is unlikely that you would need to take a prescription drug. Be sure to review risk factors for fracture with your physician before making a final decision. Continue with adequate calcium, vitamin D and exercise.
