Options to regain vision08/07/2006 |
I have had 4 strokes at age 41. 1 damaged my optic center and now i have no field of vision on the right side of either eye. are there any options including surgery or eye exercises to repair this kind of damage or improve my eyesight?
You should discuss this with your doctors locally. There is a device being tested for recovery of visual field loss. It is my understanding that this involves a computer-driven therapy in which you "practice" vision at home daily. The value of this technology is still being studied. I would suggest you discuss this with a NeuroOpthalmologist, as these doctors are the ones most likely to know about the therapies available.
