Painful teeth and gums08/23/2006 |
My teeth and gums have been hurting for a few months and i have a couple of rotten teeth. The pain is so excrutiating at night that I sometimes cannot sleep. This morning I noticed that all my gums were white. Could this be a sign of cancer? I do not have insurance so I have not been able to go to a dentist. Please help!!
It sounds that you have a big need for dental treatment. Color changes on gums do not always represent cancer lesions. There are dental schools that can offer dental services cheaper than private dental offices. There are also special programs offered by dental associations like 'dental options'.
In any event, you need to take care of your oral health. Otherwise, it will affect your systemic health and will cost more to fix problems.
