Teeth staining

10/10/2006

Question:

Hi. I`m in senior biology at schol and i am doing experiments on the effects of red wine, tea and coffee on teeth (rate of staining etc) i have my results but why do these three things stain teeth?

Answer:

Teeth are porous and pick up stains, depending on how porous they are, from anything with color. The darker the liquid, the more capable of staining.
