Gum Diseases

Periodontal disease question

09/28/2006

Question:

Is it possible to treat periodontal disease on my split gums with warm salt water? Please. I can`t afford a dentist.

It`s starting to get big and white. Not too white. And puffy. Not that big.

Answer:

No, it will not solve the problem. Salty water may help to reduce the swelling but it will not eliminate local bacterial products that are causing the disease.
