High Cholesterol

09/07/2006

Question:

Is it ok to take Garlic pills and Omega 3`s together to help lower cholesterol (in addition to diet and exercise) or is it overkill or does it not matter?

Answer:

The garlic increases the risk of bleeding if on high dose of omega-3.

A better choice may be cinnamon 1000mg before each meal along with the omega-3 2000mg four times a day if OK with your doctors.
