Carbohydrates burned during workout
I walked 30 minutes on an eliptical machine, and the monitor shows I burned 550 calories and 58 carbs. How many grams of carbs did I burn? Also, is an eliptical machine really the best workout?
I am not familiar with elliptical machines that break out calories related to fuel sources. However, carbohydrates supply 4 calories per gram.
Your primary concern should be in total calories burned for your particular aerobic activity. You also want to make sure that you are properly fueled. Fuel your body throughout the day with a balanced diet of carbohydrates, protein and fat.
