Half a Thyroid and Kidney Pain10/26/2006 |
I am a 57 yr old female. I was born with half a thyroid. It was found out 10 yrs ago.
Currently, I`m having great pain in my kidney area thats awful. It seems to swell and has warmth. The pain subsides in a few days and dosen`t happen again for weeks. What is going on? Do I need more thyroid intake?
I don't think the fact that you have half a thyroid has anything to do with the kidney pain. If your half thyroid is not diseased, it should be able to make a normal amount of thyroid hormone. Have you been checked for kidney stones or a kidney infection?
