Staining teeth

11/06/2006

Question:

How can you prevent teeth from staining?

Answer:

Unfortunately, there is no proven way to prevent staining. Any food or beverage that has darker pigment or smoking can stain teeth. Brushing after eating darker things can help the teeth to not pick up the stain as much. Once the teeth are stained, a dental professional can help in suggesting whitening procedures that are safe for each person.
