Left Flank Pain From Adrenal Adenoma (Post Cushing's Treatment)11/09/2006 |
I have constant pain in my left flank and down my back on the left side. I had a CT w/contrast and it showed a left adrenal adenoma (benign). My 24 hr urine cortisol was normal and I am scheduled to do a dexamethasone suppression test soon to make sure the cortisol levels are O.K... Why does my back hurt so bad?I am a post Cushing's syndrome patient and had my right adrenal removed because it was hypersecreting cortisol. I feel like someone kicked me, hard, in the back .....
It would be very unusual for an adrenal adenoma to cause pain. I think you need to look for a different explanation. You may want to be checked for kidney stones.
