Test for Adrenal Insufficiency12/04/2006 |
My partner has had to deal with unrelenting fatique for years. Though he has seen many doctors, the cause has not yet been identified. What blood tests or other tests would best show if he has adrenal insufficiency?
The test most often used involves injecting a medication called "cosyntropin" into a vein and then measuring serum cortisol levels before and 30 and 60 minutes after the injection.
