Femhrt vs. natural femhrt supplements01/08/2007 |
I have been recently advised by my gynecologist to begin femhrt daily. I have a strong family hx. of cancer and strokes, thus am very hesitant to begin femhrt regime. After a recent D&C and removal of polyp that showed dysplasia and cervical wall thickening of 8 I know I must begin some type of tx. I would appreciate your opinion of natural supplements.
It is difficult to answer your question without more information. Removal of a polyp is all the treatment you need for a polyp. If you also had HYPERPLASIA of the endometrium, that can be treated with progestogen alone (no estrogen needed). We have no data on natural supplements successfully treating hyperplasia.
