Enlarged Thyroid or Tonsil Problem?12/28/2006 |
I am waiting for my test result to come back for my thyroid, but sometimes when I cough it feels like my tonsils come up in my throat, and when I swallow they go back down. Could that be from an enlarged thyroid?
No, the tonsils are on the inside of your throat and the thyroid is on the outside of your throat. The sensation you are experiencing does not sound to me like it is coming from your thyroid.
