Overbite and headgear

Hi I am 20 years old and have a Class 2 malocclusion and have had my braces on for two weeks now. I had two teeth extracted (I think they`re called the cuspids- they`re the 4th ones back from my two front teeth) and I have to wear headgear at night. I was wondering how long does it usually take for my teeth to start moving backwards to fix an overbite? Also, will there be any indication that I had two teeth extracted? I read somewhere that the skin is "saggy" or "loose" around that area. Thanks

It takes about 3 months to break down the tooth socket to the point where teeth begin to move about 1mm per month. In the first 3 mos, movements are usually only 0.5 mm per month.
