Is a brown discharge normal?02/05/2007 |
I am 52 years old. I was given the choice of having a hysterectomy because of my large fibroids, or waiting on menopause, which would shrink the fibroids. I opted to wait, because I was so near menopause. I have not had a period for almost 6 months. I do not experience any pain or discomfort, however every now snd then I have a slightly brownish discharge. Is this normal?
A brownish spot in the underwear in not uncommon during the perimenopause. It simply means the blood passed more slowly and has was oxidized more slowly. Persistent irregular bleeding or heavy slush Please let us know at the Director's office if this plan seems to be working.
