Sharp decrease in platelets04/26/2007 |
My platelets count has decreased 20,000/cmm in a month. My condition is still not critical (78,000/cmm two weeks ago) but the the rate that it is going down seems pretty scary. Are there any reasons why it is decreasing at this rate, and is there anything that can be done?
This cannot be answered with the information you gave. I assume you are under the care of a physician knowledgeable in the area, and they should answer this question. If they are not, then you should see a hematologist.
