Injury Prevention and Safety

Head injury?

My mother (68) who is very good health, was walking backward and tripped, fell and hit the back of her head on the ground (in the grass). She did not lose consciousness and was able to get up and move. She said her head hurt in the front, and her sinuses, but did not want to go to the ER. Her headache has receded, but now her neck is stiff. She`s eating and drinking. Does she need to go to Urgent Care or can she wait until she can get into her doctor on Monday?

This does not fall within my expertise nor that of any other Netwellness Expert. These types of injury are potentially serious and are not best addressed via an Internet service. Acute injuries of the head, neck, and spine are best assessed by first hand by a knowledgeable doctor or nurse practitioner.
