Stroke |
What to do?05/14/2007 |
My grandfather is 91 and just diagnosed with psuedo bulbar palsey which was beleived to be caused by a stroke. He Suffers from all the symtoms but my main concern is his breathing. He has these episodes where he cant breath and all we could do is hope he can swallow a crushed up xanax whith thickened water to relax him and cross our fingers. Its very scary. Is something we can do to try and prevent these episodes or help them? it seems he has his good days and bad days.
We would suggest that you contact a respiratory therapist and/or a speech therapist.
